To show just a small measure of gratitude, restaurants across the country are doing their part by offering discounts and free meal to veterans and active duty military this weekend. The way to pretty much anyone's heart is through their stomachs, after all. Fill up and enjoy, vets! Just remember to bring your military ID.
The morning gets a little sweeter as Dunkin' Donuts will serve up one free doughnut on Nov. 11 to vets and active military members. Those who qualify can choose any doughnut they like.
Krispy Kreme is upping the ante and offering one free doughnut and coffee to vets on Nov. 11.
Vets will be eating good in the neighborhood for sure! The chain is offering seven free meal options on Saturday, Nov. 11, including chicken tenders, double crunch shrimp, chicken cavatappi, a burger and more.

Diners with military IDs can get a free lunch item up to $12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 13, as well as a $5 coupon for future use.
Make the most of the buffet with a free dinner at Golden Corral on Monday, Nov. 13 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Get a complimentary entree under $12.95 this Friday and Saturday. And those over 21 can also get a boozy beverage for just $6.
Veterans and active military will get 10 percent off their meals all November long! Because truly, a day or a weekend isn't nearly enough of a thank you.

The restaurant is offering a “buy one entree, get one free” coupon, encouraging guests to “invite a veteran to lunch or dinner” redeemable from Friday, Nov. 10 through Nov. 12. It’s a great for the family to get together and enjoy a little discount over a heaping plate of pasta.
On Veterans Day, all veterans or active duty military personnel can choose a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu including pizza, salads and pasta.
It’s a buffet bonanza with a great deal for military family members. Furr’s Fresh Buffet, Country Buffet, HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet and Ryan’s are all offering vets a 15 percent discount on Nov. 11, plus additional family discounts. Then, vets can come back for a free meal on Monday, Nov. 13.
