With the holidays just around the corner, it's time to welcome back some of our seasonal favorites. Last week, we saw holiday cups emerging at Starbucks.
Now, Dunkin’ Donuts has just unveiled its own holiday lineup and they've got some super sweet offerings on the table.
Inspired by two classic holiday treats — gingerbread and sugar cookies — the chain is releasing a trio of cookie-flavored doughnuts: a Frosted Sugar Cookie doughnut, a Gingerbread Cookie doughnut and a Snowflake Sprinkle doughnut.
The Gingerbread Cookie-flavored doughnut features a caramel-frosted yeast donut sprinkled with a gingerbread cookie topping. The Snowflake Sprinkle doughnut is a frosted doughnut with red icing and special snowflake-shaped sugar sprinkles. But the Frosted Sugar Cookie doughnut really takes the cake since it's actually filled with a cookie dough flavored filling, then topped with crumbled frosted sugar cookies.
The chain is also rolling out Snowflake Sprinkle Munchkins: classic chocolate glazed doughnut holes rolled in those seasonal snowflake sprinkles.
In addition to bringing back their own red and green holiday cups, Dunkin' is also bringing back two seasonal beverages — the Peppermint Mocha and a Brown Sugar Cinnamon coffee.
Before kicking off the holidays, the coffee chain is also honoring veterans on Nov. 11. Anyone who visits a participating location on Veterans Day and shows a military ID will be offered a free doughnut (any kind!) with no purchase necessary.
As part of Dunkin’ Donuts partnership with Homes For Our Troops, the chain is also donating Keurig Brewing System to 100 service members who have been or will be moving into specially adapted custom homes by the organization. And those brewing systems will come with a year’s worth of Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup pods, of course.
Dunkin' Donuts new sugar cookie-inspired doughnut collection will be arriving in shops nationwide Nov. 20.
