“It used to be that all boxed wine was bad,” says Ray Isle, executive wine editor of Food & Wine magazine. “Now a number of producers are actually putting good wine—and sometimes really good wine—into boxes.” But can box wine actually be better than bottled wine? Isle leads Hoda and Kris Jenner through a blind taste test to decide in a battle between box wine vs. bottle wine. Here's what they sampled -- try it on your own and see what you like best!
1. Sauvignon Blanc
The bottle costs almost the same amount as the 3 liter box, which means you're getting four times the wine for the same price if you like the box better.
Box: 2010 Target California Sauvignon Blanc (3 liter box - $15)
Bottle: 2010 Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc ($14)
2. Chardonnay
These two Chardonnays are from the same region, the Monterey, Calif. area.
Box: 2010 Black Box Monterey Chardonnay (3 liter box - $22)
Bottle: 2009 J Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay ($12)

3. Italian Red
The box wine here is a tasty Italian red from the Veneto area and when you do the math, the $21 box breaks down to about $5 per bottle. The bottled wine is a classic Chianti from Tuscany, which actually costs $22-for one bottle-a dollar more than the box wine.
Box: NV Cantina Valpantena Corvina (3 liter box - $21)
Bottle: 2007 Villa Sant’Anna Chianti ($22)
4. Malbec from Argentina
Malbec is one of the huge successes in wine over the past couple of years; it's become enormously popular, because it offers such great quality for the price.
Box: 2010 Maipe Malbec (3 liter box - $27, might sound high but that’s only $7 a bottle!)
Bottle: 2009 Don David Malbec ($15)
