Offered for a short time in the 1990s, the updated versions of the Polar Pizzas start out with either a soft-baked, 9-inch round chocolate chip cookie or fudgy brownie crust. Then comes the ice cream, loads of candy or cookie pieces and more delicious toppings like gooey glazed frosting and sprinkles. The whole shebang will be pre-cut into eight slices and served in a pizza box, of course.

Flavor combinations will include OREO Cookies 'N Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Jamoca Almond Fudge and HEATH, and Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. For example, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Polar Pizza has a chocolate chip cookie crust that's topped with cookie dough ice cream, more cookie dough candy pieces, a glazed frosting and rainbow sprinkles. But what's even cooler is that if the best-selling pralines and cream ice cream is more your jam, you can customize your dessert pizza with any ice cream flavor and mix of toppings that you want. Score!

In other very important ice cream news, Baskin-Robbins recently tested out a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich in Las Vegas and some Baltimore locations. The ice cream giant partnered with its doughnut brethren Dunkin' Donuts to create the treat that's filled with the ice cream of your choice and gooey hot fudge and sandwiched between a soft and fluffy powdered sugar doughnut without a hole. The company is thinking about possibly rolling out the dessert in the future. Fingers crossed!
