Tyler Florence, of the Food Network’s “Food 911” has some ideas for quick snacks that are not only delicious but nutritious too.

QUICK CHEESE FONDUETyler Florence

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice cheese wheel lengthwise through the center. Spoon one half of the cheese with pumpkin butter. Gently lay the other half of the cheese on top to sandwich the pumpkin butter. Place the cheese in the center of the aluminum foil sheet. Wrap the foil up around the cheese, forming a steam vent in the center. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted through the center.

While cheese is baking, cut the French baguette in half and place in oven to slightly toast, about 5-10 minutes.

Carefully remove the cheese from the oven and place in the center of a serving plate. Let cool for 2-3 minutes.

Serve with celery and carrot sticks, pretzels, toasted French bread and sliced pear. Have fun dipping into the gooey cheese.Let the cheese from the oven and place in the center of a serving plate. Let cool for 2-3 minutes.

  NOTE to parents: carefully peel back the foil and test the temperature before allowing kids to touch. The cheese should be warm and creamy — not scalding.
