We’re all running around like chickens, so I’ll get right to it. This week’s menu is planned around two polar ideas. On the one hand we have light, quick-to-prepare dishes that are as far away as possible from the hearty holiday eating that lies ahead. On the other are a couple of recipes that seem like intriguing dishes you might want to try out before serving your sister-in-law (she of the gadgety designer kitchen and foodie trips to Tuscany), such as the Spiced Pomegranate Glazed Ham which sounds divine, but you may want to scale it down for a weeknight and just make ham steaks with the glaze.
