Can't we just let Taylor Swift sing about her exes in peace?
Swift, who performed at Wednesday's night Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, didn't find a fan in Australian model Jessica Hart, 27, who openly criticized the 23-year-old singer.
Hart said she couldn't envision Swift ever becoming a Victoria's Secret model, then used the classic give-a-compliment-followed-by-a-harsh-"but" tactic to target her experience:
"I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she's great," Hart told WWD. "But, I don't know, to me, she didn't fit. I don't know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we've been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It's definitely the benchmark of all jobs."
Fans will not be able to judge Swift's performance until it airs on Dec. 10, but according to fellow attendees who took to Twitter after the show, she was supposedly great singing her hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble.” (Which, c'mon, seems like an appropriate anthem for a bunch of Brazilian beauties who use tables as floors.)
The 2013 show also featured performances by Fall Out Boy and Neon Jungle. In years past, the lingerie brand has hired a variety of crooners, including Kanye West, Seal and Maroon 5. Heck, in 2012, Justin Bieber performed! Considering this show's history, seems like there's some room for Swift.
