The "Veronica Mars" movie just debuted its first trailer, and one thing is clear: fans are getting their money's worth!

The film, starring Kristen Bell as the titular former teen detective, premieres in select U.S. markets Friday, March 14 — almost exactly one year after its record-setting Kickstarter launch, which raised $5.7 million.

Contributors enjoyed incentives like T-shirts, DVDs and other goodies, but the biggest perk of all for fans of the cult TV drama is the movie itself.

As we see in the trailer, Veronica is now a "big-shot New York lawyer" living in the Big Apple with Piz (Chris Lowell), her college steady. But just when she thought she was out of Neptune and the private eye business, they pulled her back in.

"They," of course, is Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring), her bad-boy ex-boyfriend, who calls for help when he's falsely accused of murder.

"Nine years of radio silence and yet I still kind of knew I could count on you," he tells her, setting thousands of Team Logan hearts aflutter.

Coincidentally, Logan's latest predicament (there have been so many!) coincides with Neptune High's 10th reunion — and nearly the whole gang has RSVP'd.

That includes Wallace (Percy Daggs III), Mac (Tina Majorino), Weevil (Francis Capra), Dick Casablancas (Ryan Hansen), Gia Goodman (Krysten Ritter) and the odious Madison Sinclair (Amanda Noret) — who finds herself on the business end of Veronica's fist at the reunion. (Attagirl!)

For help with her investigation, Veronica turns to the usual suspects: her dear old dad and disgraced sheriff Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni) and Deputy Leo (Max Greenfield), yet another member of Veronica's Broken Hearts Club. (Hopefully he's at least been promoted by now.) But she certainly won't be receiving assistance from the new sheriff, Dan Lamb (Jerry O’Connell), filling his dead brother's seat.

So: a LoVe (Logan + Veronica) triangle, brawls at school, corruption at the top, and a pretty girl who kicked a hornet's nest of crime. It's business as usual for Veronica Mars, and we couldn't ask for more.
