'Housewives' star NeNe Leakes gets recurring role on 'Glee'

Wilford Harewood / Bravo / Today
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes is taking a brief break from reality TV for a recurring role in "Glee."

Move over, Sue Sylvester! There's a new coach coming to McKinley High, and she knows how to stir up drama, too.

On Monday night's "Watch What Happens Live," "Glee" regulars Lea Michele and Chris Colfer announced that NeNe Leakes, of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and frequent feuding fame, will soon join the show as a recurring guest star.

"She's awesome," Michele told host Andy Cohen. "She plays the new swim coach, Roz."

And if the tweets Leakes posted after the announcement are any indication, Roz is ready for action.

"Running through the house screaming Gleeeeee!" she wrote in one of the messages. "Coach Roz Washington is gonna get that Sue Sylvester! I'm so proud of myself."

"Glee" fans, what do you think about the casting news? Is NeNe a good fit for the show? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
