TODAY anchors' handshakes were put to the test during a segment that aired this morning by Sara Haines.
Which anchor puts the best hand forward?
Jim Bell, the executive producer of TODAY, has clasped many a hand in his day, including all of the anchors and presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. And though Jim complimented Matt Lauer's handshake, he said there was one anchor who edged Matt out.
"Of all the people that I have ever shaken hands with, Ann Curry is probably up there in the pantheon of great handshakes," Jim said.
Ann was flattered!
"That is a great compliment, and it's not to me but to my father," she said. "He used to say, 'Ann, shake hands like you want to meet somebody, or don't even bother.' "
