Matt, Al and Savannah gave a warm welcome back to Linny Boyette, TODAY’s biggest fan, after his recent absence from the plaza due to a health issue.
Fortunately he’s feeling "much better," as he told Matt Thursday morning.
The New York City native and military veteran has been a plaza staple almost every morning for nearly 20 years. He arrives around 5:30 a.m. – rain or shine – to reserve his spot, then reads the paper and chats with other fans until showtime.
"It's terrific to have you back buddy," Matt explained.
