'There's a party!' Revamped TODAY plaza welcomes fans

The TODAY plaza is more fun than ever! On Monday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio joined our anchors to helped reopen the destination for TODAY fans, as well as the setting for many of the show's most memorable events.

"People love this part of our town, and this make it even better," the mayor said after cutting the ribbon.

Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly conducted an on-air tour of our upgraded outdoor digs, starting at the larger-than-life arch marking the entrance to all the fun.

"There's a staff, there's a theme song, and there's margaritas," Carson quipped.

But there's more. The plaza's new poster station gives you everything you need to make a standout sign so your friends and family will spot you as soon as TODAY's cameras point your way.

Also new: kiosks where you can check in to let us know you visited. If you're planning a trip, let us know you're heading our way by RSVP'ing through our new website. You may even score some commemorative TODAY swag!

"It's a whole new experience," an enthusiastic Hoda said. "There's a party!"

Stop by the newly refurbished plaza soon and join all the fun with Matt, Savannah, Al, Natalie, Willie, Tamron, Kathie Lee and Hoda!
