Yet another award show weekend has come and gone and I'd love to know what you thought of the style at the SAG Awards. It was definitely a red and white carpet, where A-listers were asymmetrical from design to details. Here are a few of my favorites:
For me,Kate Hudson was, yet again,"best dressed." She was my top pick at the Golden Globes and a repeat winner this weekend. In a sea of asymmetry, she stood out in a refreshingly simple, clean and sleek style that was strikingly sexy from behind.
Tina Fey wins my award for"most improved"(yay!). But, sadly, Drew Barrymore was my "biggest disappointment" of the night. She was another of my favorites from the Golden Globes, but it would have a been fun surprise to see her in a complete departure from Versace. Maybe something starkly simple?
The big beauty trends of the night were side-swept hairstyles for her, and beards for him.
Hits: Marion Cotillard, Diane Kruger, Kyra Sedgwick, Helen Mirren, Mo’Nique, Lea Michele, Christina Applegate, and Anna Kendrick.
Misses: Anna Paquin, Michelle Monaghan, and Patricia Arquette.
And lastly, I'm curious if you love it or hate it: Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman's style choices.I love that Sandra switched it up (I wish Penelope Cruz would!), but I wasn’t a fan of Nicole’s look — I thought the busy pattern distracted from her distinctive features and coloring.
Do you agree with me? I'd love to hear what you think. Leave a comment below and let me know!
