Three U.S.-born scientists won the Nobel Prize in physics Tuesday -- and one of them has a connection to TODAY!
Adam Riess, a astronomy professor at Johns Hopkins University and one of the three honorees, is the brother of TODAY contributor Gail Saltz.
As Gail puts it, that's "pretty cool!"
Reiss, along with Saul Perlmutter and Brian Schmidt, discovered that the expansion of the universe is speeding up.
