This morning's edition of "Today Goes Wild" featured an underwater extravaganza as the plaza was taken over by a giant fish tank filled with sharks, puffer fish, sting rays and more. How long did it take to put this plaza aquarium together? I took a peek at the schedule for the set-up of the tank and it shows the time and dedication it took to put this amazing segment together:
Monday-8:00 pm- Gary Haine arrives with tank; Water arrives.
Monday-8:30 pm-Add decoration to the bottom of the tank
Monday-9:00 pm- Water begins to be pumped into the tank
Monday-9:15 pm- Joe Caparatta (in charge of the fish) begins to mix salt
Monday-10:00 pm-Fish begin to arrive
Tuesday-12:00 am-All fish should be in tank
Tuesday-1:00 am-Additional coral added to the bottom of the tank
Tuesday-2:00 am-Fish get "happy and calm"
An incredible amount of preparation time that begins almost 12 hours before the show even starts!
