We're six months away from the Vancouver Games, and Natalie Morales is already in the Olympic spirit!  Recently she and producer Jennie Thompson traveled to Utah and met up with Vancouver hopefuls Jeret "Speedy" Peterson and Emily Cook to learn about one of the most amazing sports to watch -- aerial skiing.

Check out some of the photos from their trip, and scroll down to see one of the tricks of the trade that gives new meaning to the phrase "wrapping it up."

You would expect to find skiers on the mountains, right?  While they log in plenty of slope time in the winter months, during the summer they can be found in the pool, flying down ramps, then flipping and twisting in the air before plunging into the water. Two-time Olympian Speedy Peterson and Torino team member Emily Cook put Natalie through the training hoops at the facility at Utah Olympic Park.

Baby steps: Before heading to the pool, Natalie needed to master the trampoline.  Emily says she trains here with her coaches about four to five times per week.

Natalie, who was last on the trampoline when she was about 5, had to learn how to flip.  Luckily, she found a nice, soft landing!

Next up: The pool.....

All smiles...for now

Speedy and Emily seem confident their instruction has prepared Natalie for the jump into the pool.

Apparently when wireless microphones are used in or around a pool, the professionals wrap them in condoms to keep the water out...who knew?!??!

Natalie survives the jump.

A great experience...but maybe a few years before Natalie qualifies for the Olympic team!
