Backstage access! Hoda, Carson give fans tour of control room

Fans are always asking for a behind-the-scenes look at TODAY, and this morning Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly made a wish come true for two plaza visitors.

Ann and Joan Connally from Detroit were plucked off the plaza and taken to the control room, which Hoda called the "heartbeat of the TODAY Show."

Executive Producer Don Nash gave up his seat so the fans could see the show from his point of view.

"Fabulous," an awestruck Ann and Joan exclaimed.

Hoda and Carson let them throw back to Matt and Savannah in the studio, and the director played a little joke on them too, making them think they pressed a button that shut down the show.

If you're planning to stop by, tell us what part of the studio you want to tour using #TODAYPlaza.
