If you live in North Fort Myers, Florida, you may have seen Ann Curry unexpectedly running around your backyard on Monday morning.

No, it wasn't our Ann Curry -- the bungee-jumping, Antarctica-visiting, news-loving human version.

It was actually a zebra named Ann Curry that escaped from a trailer while being transported from the Shell Factory and Nature Park in North Fort Myers to a breeder in North Carolina.

According to The News-Press, the zebra climbed out of its trailer and crossed four lanes of traffic on U.S. 41, then hung out for a bit in the Herons Glen community before animal control officers captured her. She suffered injuries to her legs and mouth but returned to the zoo in Florida without suffering further damage.

The zebra visited TODAY back in May during the "TODAY Goes Wild" series, and she got her name after our Ann fed her, as seen in the photo above. If nothing else, the zebra seems to share Ann's unbridled sense of adventure.
