Well, not me -- but the Knicks and Nets. That was my first reaction when I saw the package that the Celtics had put together to land Kevin Garnett. Maybe Al Jefferson will be a perennial all-star. Maybe Gerald Green will be more than a highlight reel player. Maybe Sebastian Telfair will salvage his career. Maybe not. The Timberwolves got some cap relief and a whole lot of maybe's for one of the best players in the game. Which makes you wonder, how did the Knicks and Nets not get in the middle of this? Could the Nets - who have lusted after Garnett for years as a compliment to Jason Kidd - not topped this with a deal based around Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic? Could the Knicks, who could have assured themselves of nightly sell-outs with the Big Ticket, have tried a Jamal Crawford, David Lee base to a bigger deal?
