The in form Adebayor has now netted an impressive nine goals in his last seven appearances, and took his tally to 19 of the season with a first half strike in the 3-0 win over Newcastle at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. And understandably, comparisons with the likes of Chelsea’s Ivory Coast frontman Didier Drogba begin to be drawn. But who is the better striker? Rationality would suggest that Drogba should come on top. He is the more complete and more consistent player, while Adebayor, eventhough has been awesome this season, he is not yet the finished article. Drogba has played fewer games thanks to injury and suspension, but remain a threat when he is playing, and one of his strengths is that he inspired his team mate with his high work rate. And the different styles of football Chelsea and Arsenal play must also be taken into consideration.
