by Mark Silva This has got to hurt a couple of Republicans who have been working Florida long and hard Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney: The Orlando Sentinel, the biggest newspaper in the swing-voting, independent-minded region of Central Florida, chimed in today on the heels of Sen. John McCain's victory in the South Carolina Republican primary with an editorial endorsement of his phenomenally revived campaign for president. After all, Orlando is home town for the Florida chairman of Giuliani's campaign: Bill McCollum, the state attorney general who served two decades as a member of Congress from Orlando. It is home for a key Romney supporter, former state Senate President and Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings, one of many close associates of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush who have supported Romney from the start.
