One of my heady brahs got his hands on Ween's new album La Cucaracha. As a reader of Brahsome.com you know we back Ween a lot. A. Lot. So we were pretty stoked to check it out. And, this being Ween, they didn't disappoint.From the instrumental, Mexican flavored opener Fiesta to the heart felt thank you card, Your Party (featuring a silky saxophone by David Sanborn and my personal favorite track), the brothers Ween take you on their usual roller coaster of sounds and emotions. Building on the party feel that came with their summer EP Friends, La Cucaracha is a high energy (except for the creepy Spirit Walker and emotional Lullaby) production that is perfect for either your next dinner party or hiding in the basement, snorting ecstasy off the radiator.The album has the usual suspects: a catchy little love song (Sweetheart), a blue grassy/country number (Learnin' to Love), a track sung by Dean (My Own Bare Hands), and the hard stuff (an 11-minute 'Woman and Man').
