Walnuts keep falling on my head. Inside my house. The living room, to be precise. Oh, I thought it was a fluke when the electrician found a few walnut shells when he was routing new wire in the living room ceiling. Nope. Every time I swing the hammer and send more pieces of plaster falling to the floor, walnut shells tumble out along with pieces of loose-fill insulation that had been placed on top of the ceiling. Here's the worst part: Our lot DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A WALNUT TREE. Nothing close to the house, for sure. Not only are these nut shells part-fossilized, apparently, but some crazy squirrel was bringing them into the house and depositing them. Ugh. What a mess.
