The Loss of a Loved One, couldn’t be at a more Imperfect timing…

This weekend, my grandfather, the patriarch of our family, is going to celebrate his 70th birthday. Our whole Italian family is going to get together. Both the Sicilian and Italian sides. It is going to be very interesting having both sides of our families come together for such an occassion. Our families have not celebrated any holidays or birthdays as a whole family in many years. I never understood why our family has feuded over the years and maybe I never will. All I know is that both sides are being selfish and stubborn. I am going to be seeing my Papa for the last time more than likely. His heart has only been working at 25% over the last year. He has had two or three heart attacks and he had been living with a single kidney since he was in high school. He lost his kidney while catching in a high school baseball game. The batter hit my Papa with the back swing and he ruptured his kidney during his teenage years. He has lead a strong, wonderful life
