Amy Winehouse Just Can’t Get it Together

As Amy Winehouse makes her way into the news yet again, we're all left to wonder what is going to come of her. I love Amy Winehouse. I think her music is amazing. I have her cds on my Ipod and I listen to them constantly. However, I might be waiting a long time for another cd to come out. With all of her legal trouble, she can't be focusing on music too much these days. Legal and personal issues are not anything new for musicians. In fact, drug addiction and personal demons have shortened the lives of many promising musicians. Consider Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, and Kurt Cobain. They were all incredibly talented, but could not get their lives in order. It seems as though personal demons are necessary to be a talented artist. Most music lovers don't want to hear songs about happiness. We want pain. We want to hear that you were cheated on, got drunk, maybe injected some drugs, and passed out. That's music. The demand for this kind of music, though, is coming
