This looked like a gratifying read until The Tracker got to the part about increased risk, with a lefty tendency, to also be psychotic or schizophrenic. Mrs. Tracker perked up at that one. Researchers at Oxford’s Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics say they found the first known gene that correlates strongly with being left handed. How about left-handed and right-footed? How about throws left, bats right? How about throws left, writes right? What’s up with ambidextrousness? So many permutations it makes one’s brain unsure which way to turn. And then there’s Rafael Nadal, who hits a wicked lefty topspin. It is said he’s a natural right-hander whose coaching uncle suggested that the young player try it southpaw.
