Something really weird happened to me last night. I was flicking and suddenly realised that The Restaurant (BBC2, Wednesday, 8pm) was on. Now. I really like Raymond Blanc. He once said "putting a plastic bag in a microwave is not showing love to your children". Now, imagine it in a French drawl and it sounds miles better. The premise of the show is, in short, members of the public set up an eatery. Each week, one is closed. At the end, the winners get a six figure sum of money from Raymond Blanc and he backs the restaurant. Great prize eh? So what's weird about that? Well, settling down and waiting to see what these cretins would call their restaurants, I suddenly got something that reminded me of d j -vu (ho! An accidental play on words for you there). I worked out that I hadn't seen this before, but rather, I'd seen one of the couples before. Wracking my tiny brain, I scoured every TV show I'd ever seen in an attempt to identify the couple.
