Good god y'all. My Name Is Earl (Channel 4, Thursday, 10pm) continues to be brilliantly brilliant. Shifting from pure slapstick to thoughtful word play, ...Earl still manages to make me grin like the village idiot who has just found himself in the pig pen with no trousers on. In fact, last night, the show managed to surprise me with a great little thing... a thing called claymation. Yup, our karmic traveler found himself in a hippie commune to right a wrong and the Hickey brothers found themselves in amongst the nudists and greenies. Dangerously teetering on the lip of morals (a bit like one of those episodes of The Simpsons), this episode had a lot to say in terms of 'social commentary' and saving the planet... but (I think) it managed to avoid being too pushy with the advent of a drug experience and some fall down funny segments.
