How bizarre is this? There is much talk in online rapping communities that Kanye West and 50 Fiddy Cent will stage a presidential style debate on live TV in the US. The hip-hop heavyweights are going to face-off with one another in a bid for fan support as both their albums hit shelves on the same day. Although a friendly rivalry has existed between the opposing camps for a while, matters have intensified since the release of West's album was brought forward a week and Fiddy's was delayed by a week, meaning that September 11th would be the big day for both artists. On American show 106 & Park, the hosts Terrance J. and Rocsi proposed the idea of the live debate to guest 50 Cent, and he happily signed up: "I accept the challenge. Kanye, he's not going to want to show up. Just don't be asking me if I am a conscious rapper. I know exactly what I am saying - so I am conscious."
