Lubbock, TX- WHAT: Texas Tech University August commencement ceremonies WHEN: 9 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 11) WHERE: United Spirit Arena, 1701 Indiana Ave. EVENT: Texas Tech Alumnus Geoff Wayne, who serves as executive vice president and director of corporate development for Behavioral Health Group, will speak at the Texas Tech University commencement ceremonies Saturday (Aug. 11). More than 1,262 undergraduate and graduate students received diplomas during the 9 a.m. ceremony at the United Spirit Arena, 1701 Indiana Ave.in Lubbock. Owing to the highway construction around the university, parents and guests of the graduates should leave early when going to the United Spirit Arena. There should be no difficulty arriving from the south at 19th Streetand Indiana Avenue. Those arriving from the north should use Texas Tech Parkway, westof Indiana on Fourth Street, and follow the parkway to the United Spirit Arena. There is no access south on Indiana Avenuefrom the Brownfield Highway. Illuminated
