Trailer surfaces for Sigur Ros documentary, Heima

Last summer, ambient rockers Sigur Ros played a series of free concerts throughout Iceland, gracing the island with their delicate, minimalist style. The band called the profitless tour a labor of love, and appropriately titled it Heima, which translates to home/homeland. During the tour, the band hired a 40 person production crew to film the band’s concerts, along with inspirational footage of Iceland’s landscapes and citizens. The footage was pieced together into a full length documentary, which shares the same title as the tour. On September 27th, the band will premiere their film in their hometown, Reykjav k, as part of the International Film Festival. The trailer for the film was recently released on YouTube(Watch it HERE).
