Filed under: General Mess, Social Media MessSo, Moviefone launched a redesign this week. I first noticed its new local movie times page, which I browse fairly often, even though the last movie I saw in the theater was Children of Men back in... January. (I do read Cinematical regularly, which is pretty-well integrated throughout the site.)Now, of course, the Moviefone folks want to see what users think about the redesign, so they have a couple of feedback mechanisms in place. However, whenever you ask for feedback on redesigns, you can always count on a few things as givens: Some people just don't like change. Of any kind. ("If it ain't broke...") People who don't like something are much more likely to write to complain than people who like something are to say they liked it. (It's a variation of the old "Silent Majority" defense.) Those people who don't like the new design and who post will be loud. [Click the Read More link to see more about this redesign and [ Full article ] |
