Christianity is a religion not of this world, as such, no earthly head and no temporal power were given. It did not seek establishment or state/government sponsorship (its governance is to be independent and congregational with a vote for every member). We must always keep in mind that even the very elect may be betrayed and deceived; as with some prominent denominations and their proclaiming to be the one true church. The Lord Jesus gave us His will and completed laws and no person on earth has the authority to amend old laws or legislate new ones. The Holy Bible is all one needs to study to show themselves approved. However, a study of church history can help to eliminate some false churches and can show others to be anti-Christ in their creation and conduct.
