The Jewish High Holidays start up Wednesday evening with the Kol Nidre service. Here's a note from my in-box about an online way to watch and listen. My one caveat is the claim that this would be the first such. Somebody does have to be the first at anything, but the claims always outnumber the actuality. Hard for me to believe that some High Holiday service wasn't sent out ere now. Anyway: Los Angeles, CA (Sept. 10, 2007) JewishTVNetwork.com the first broadband network to feature a mix of entertainment and news channels celebrating the Jewish experience, announced that it will stream the first ever live Kol Nidre service, the holiest Jewish prayer recited at the beginning of Yom Kippur, on the evening of September 21 from Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the oldest synagogue in Los Angeles.
