Strahan Is Already A Giant Distraction |

And you thought Tiki Barber's year-long retirement was a distraction? Imagine, then, what things will be like if Michael Strahan does decide to return to the Giants as the Giants apparently believe he'll eventually decide to do. Already, just the thought of it has dominated the stories from the first five days of training camp, and his holdout just might overshadow the next few weeks, too. After finally speaking with Strahan on Thursday afternoon, Coughlin addressed the media on Friday and indicated he wanted Strahan to make up his mind sooner rather than later. "We certainly don't want to spend an entire year again talking about someone's retirement," he said, in an obvious shot at Tiki Barber's 2006 Retirement Tour. But how, exactly, does he plan to avoid that? Barber at least was up front and honest about his intentions once they leaked (purposely or not) to the press.
