Michael Guilford (picture left), a redshirt-freshman walk-on defenisive Back of Florida Gators, was killed in a deadly motorcyle accident early this morning when the motorcycle he was driving hit a median at a high rate of speed. Michael Guilford, a 19-year-old Quincy native, was not wearing a helmet. Neither was passenger Ashley Slonina , 20, a Florida junior from Lynn Haven who also died in the crash. I am not sure if Ashley Slonina is the one who is a volleyball athlete in Gulf Coast Community College. It was learned that the two were riding a 1998 silver Kawasaki motorcycle when it struck a median around 1 a.m. Police spokesman Lt. Keith Kameg said officers estimated the motorcycle was traveling 25 to 30 mph over the speed limit. How Miserable! Apparently, Michael Guilford didn't have a lesson from Nick Hogan who crashed his car also in Florida. For motorists, never drive without a helmet!
