Palm Bay, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Joseph England-Wasserlein, a 31 year old Palm Bay, Florida man has been arrested and charged with assault, battery and resisting arrest after police say he doused his wife with gasoline and then tried to set her on fire.Palm Bay police were alerted on to the situation after receiving a report Friday of a disturbance at the suspects home.Investigators say the couple had been arguing about finances when England-Wasserlein picked up a gas container and splashed his wife with gasoline. He then fumbled with a lighter in an alleged attempt to set her afire, but then became frustrated and pushed her in the home's bedroom. Police arrived moments later and took England-Wasserlein into custody.England-Wasserlein was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
