This week’s Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday will be offering gamers a shooter that is out of this world. Reach for the stars with Space Giraffe. If you’d rather take the combat to the street, duke it out in futuristic New York City in Street Trace: NYC. Both games will be ready for download off Xbox LIVE Arcade at 9 a.m. GMT (2 a.m. PDT) Wednesday, August 22. From the legendary game designer Jeff Minter, “Space Giraffe” (Llamasoft) is a psychedelic shooter featuring mesmerizing graphics and 100 levels of out-of-this-world gameplay. Gamers can also complete all 100 levels and unlock a hidden gameplay mode. Set in the urban wastelands of New York City, “Street Trace: NYC” (Gaia Industries) is an all-in-one hoverboard racing and arena battle game featuring multiplayer over Xbox LIVE with up to eight players and an up to a four-way split-screen.
