I feel I need to admit that I’ve never seen Donnie Darko, Richard Kelly’s previous - and much beloved by roughly everyone - movie. But I’m really looking forward to Southland Tales and, even though the newly released trailer for the movie is confusing as all get out it’s really very good. The basic plot comes through (something to do with the end of the world, I think) but beyond that the trailer is trippy and nightmarish and just plain strange. It’s also completely worth check out.
