Add the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2007 to the ridiculous (and still growing) list of bills the Pretzelnit plans to veto. The man who couldn't find his ass veto pen with both hands for six years now has vetoed or threatened to veto 26 bills in just seven months of Democratic leadership in Congress, including 8 of the 12 regular appropriations bills. Obviously, the plan now playing itself out in "Statements of Administration Policy" on the appropriations bills, appears to include threats to veto any bill that spends more money on anything than the president called for in his budget. And what he hopes to set up with such an irresponsible plan is grounds a fiscal crisis more distracting than the looming Iraq crisis. As a side benefit, he furthers his agenda of diminishing the Congressional power to do anything at all.
