Somehow, "Happy Anniversary" is not appropriate.

I hate to get all reflective and depressing, but when I looked back at my old posts from this time last year, I failed to even acknowledge the date.September 11.I remember it all very clearly. Actually, that's a lie. I remember some things very clearly. I had just started my sophomore year in college and was still getting used to my 7:30 a.m. class. After class, wearing my navy blue sweatpants and a baggy gray shirt, I went to the school cafeteria to get breakfast. There was a TV in the back corner of the cafeteria, and as I walked in and handed my student ID card to the attendant for swiping, I noticed an image of the twin towers. One of them smoldering with a cloud of smoke billowing from the top. My first thought was "what movie is this? Independence Day? Or one of those 'the world is ending' kind of movies, like Deep Impact?" Little did I know how eerily similar those thoughts would be to what was actually happening.Thinking nothing of it, I made my way to the buffet and drink
