I am back to a normal routine today and will begin writing and publishing social media related articles by the end of the week. With that being said, evidently there was much social related news yesterday while I was away. WinExtra has a very good piece on the economics of "friending", which gives me an idea for a similar article that I will publish in the next week or so. Songza has added profiles to it's service, so I am guess they will be launching more social features in the days ahead. Pageflakes gets cozy with Pixsy the celebrity photo widget. Photoshelter adds a Flickr import feature in an effort to gain more users from Flickr. MySpace is opening it's platform to 3rd party developers and applications. Auttomatic swallows Buddy Press (Wordpress plugin in company). DemandMedia gets Plucky, announces acquisition of Pluck. AOL opens a bit and is beginning to support social platforms such as Meebo.
