Woman Sues Apple For $1 Million - Over $200 Price Cut |

Sometimes, before you sue someone, you should try out if your lawsuit passes the common sense test. For example, if you’re an early adopter which bought the iPhone for $400, and then Apple reduced that price to $200, you got screwed over for $200. Actually, $100 if you count in the Apple store gifts that all early iPhone adopters received from El Jobso. So, if you want to sue Apple over this, how much money should you ask? $100? $200? $500 (for the emotional pain the entire affair has caused you)? Try 1 million dollars. That’s right, one Dongmei Li, a woman from Queens, New York, has filed a suit against Apple seeking $1 million in damages for “price discrimination, underselling, discrimination in rebates, deceptive actions and other wrongdoings.” Li is basically claiming that she has been wronged because of the initial price cut, as well as the fact that she wasn’t able to resell the phone for a sum of money she thought was reasonable, given the price [ Full article ] |
