Nigel Lythgow Puts The Dancers Through Their Paces Again This Summer On SYTYCDFox 8/7c Thursday 5/22/08 Week 1 - Phillip Chbeeb - So You Think You Can Dance The show started with what looked like it would be a flubbed audition. Nigel Lythgow yelled, “Cue the music”, the music came on, the dancer stood there. A full 20-30 seconds went by before Nigel lifted his hand to stop the music saying, “I’d like to see a bit more dancing!” After the music mix up, Devon Wilson proceeded to wow the judges with a great solo. Earning Devon the first ticket to Hollywood. Speaking of the judges, they are: Nigel Lythgow - The only things Nigel and Simon Cowell have in common are American Idol and an English accent. While honest with every single contestant, Lythgow takes the time to explain himself, even to the attention-seekers that won’t listen. He gives great incites on each individual performance shown.
