Skateboarding: A sport synonymous with change |

Though skateboarding is a relatively young sport when compared to things like soccer, football, baseball and the like, skateboarding remains one of the most evolutionary sports we have today. Starting originally from kids nailing their roller skate wheels to small boards in hopes to imitate surfing, the 70’s spawned a new sport that would spread like wild fire by the end of the decade. Today, skateboarding remains the same in that you stand on a piece of wood with wheels and trucks which are screwed into the deck. Although the means of constructing said boards has changed greatly not only in form according to function, but also functionality as a whole. Long boards made for cruising at high speeds with large soft wheels for stability, regular boards aimed at accomplishing flip tricks, airs, and grinds, and minis which might appeal to a very young crowd, or to have just for shits and giggles.
