By ANDREA JARES In the strange-but-sometimes-true world of Tarrant County real estate, ambitious developers will make a big splash with an announced development.But sometimes those plans run into trouble: lack of adequate financing, contrary public opinion or lack of economic interest.So it's still in the air whether Tarrant County will see a ski lodge or a transcendental peace palace. But some projects that were on the back burner for a while seem to be cooking now.Here's a look at some of the more intriguing (and some of the most difficult) projects in the works.The other half of Trophy ClubWhen first announced: In April 2005, D.R. Horton was under contract to buy 800 acres.
