On the California Channel on the internet you can watch the entirety of today's press conference by Speaker of the Assembly Fabian Nunez and President pro Tem of the Senate Don Perata on the new compromise bill the legislature will be hearing in a week. You can hear them speak about the bill and then answer questions from the Capitol Press Corps. Unless you want to eavesdrop on the conversations those in the press are having with each other at the beginning of the tape, skip ahead to 2 minutes and 28 seconds when Nunez and Perata appear. The amendments they are making to ABX1 1 (the first bill of the special session called by the Governor on health care) will be placed in the hopper Thursday when the legislature will be in session.
