Carly's tip for destickifying a toddler: We bathe my daughter Lucy, 15 months, every other day. The days between we always wash her face and hands with soap and water, but it's been a struggle to hold her dangling over the edge of the sink -- she wants to dive into the water, splash me, her and the rest of the bathroom. Finally, a *duh* light bulb went off over my head and I figured out a much more efficient way to do this task: I fill the sink up with water and a squirt of baby bath soap, making a little bath in the sink. This way I can clean the cloth off between wipes, still get an effective amount of soap, and don't have to perch Lucy and get drenched. As long as we wash hands with soap when we come home from being outside and before meals, I find that a cursory wipe-down with warm water is all that's necessary. Foaming hand soap also works nicely as it rinses off so easily. Related: Use foaming hand soap in the bath [ Full article ] |
