I saw a message from a disgruntled reader that suggested 2 things: 1. most of US research goes for boob jobs and 2. the Italian writer works for some sort of corporate think tank. I thought I’d respond. Higher cancer survival rates and access to advanced drugs are not the result of research into “boob jobs”. They are the result of a whole slew of early detection tools (expensive, delicate equipment) plus very expensive drugs. Drugs that U.S. citizens have more access to than citizens in Europe. Because our silly capitalist ways have created them for us. 2. Here’s the link to the “corporate think tank” that the writer belongs to… aka the Lower House of Parliament in Italy. The Italian Chamber of Deputies (Italian: Camera dei Deputati) is the lower house of the Parliament of Italy.
