From www.thebaseballfix.blogspot.com show me the money...my god! So this is what it has come to in the world of Baseball. Carlos Silva is set up to make 40 million plus over the next four years from the Seattle Mariners, and I am sure Kyle Lohse will be all set with something soon there after. My question is this, when did mediocre at best pitching become such a wanted commodity? now while Silva and Lohse posses some raw talent, both have given us sufficient enough sample sizes to lean towards the fact that this is what it is with these two. Both have around one thousand big league innings under there belt, just like both have ERA's over four and whips over 1.3, not to mention pathetic ratios across the board. Yet despite all this both are going to receive a similar contract to the one Josh Beckett has with the Red Sox.
